Imoon’s Lighting Technology Renovates Retailing Formats

The retail industry is undergoing continuous and constant developments due to new paradigms related to multiple factors, such as digital transformation and sustainability. One of its sectors most involved in this regard is Food & Grocery. In an environment where competition is becoming more and more pressing, Imoon  has interpreted the most recent trends with a different mindset where sustainability, customization, and optimization constitute key elements for the development of unprecedented exclusive concepts to encourage the restyling of existing stores.

Store brands in North America have relied on the expertise of the Imoon Team for various applications. Among these, a new Waikiki Market store of Foodland, a local chain that currently owns 33 stores in Hawaii, and the projects realized for the other two Brands Safeway and Sobeys.

Lastly, Imoon has confirmed its participation in the next edition of the NGA Show scheduled in Las Vegas from 10 to 12 March 2024.

Imoon will be present at HOST, the international fair dedicated to catering and hospitality which will be held in Milan, at Rho-Fiera, from 13 to 17 October 2023.

Imoon will participate as a lighting partner of Tecnoarredamenti, which will present FUTURE FOOD, a new business concept – and will do so by lighting the stand with KRIOS projectors and special LEDs.

Our commitment to excellence is reflected in the restyling of the 'Venere’ projector. The new design, created by Architect Alessandro Canepa, emphasizes the concepts of interconnection and reciprocity among its parts, seamlessly blending functionality and design. It encompasses the three main elements of the projector: the headlight, the arm, and the driver box.

Headlight: Harmonious lines
The restyling aims to bring a formal renewal with smooth lines while preserving the product’s recognizability and performance. A distinctive visual and shaping element has been introduced across the different parts—a unique double-step section—to connect and unify the individual components.

Arm: High Flexibility and Perfect Balance
The arm has been completely redesigned to seamlessly integrate with the lighting unit, following its profile with grace and sophistication. This new design offers extraordinary flexibility of movement, allowing the projector to adapt perfectly to any environment. Each position is now accompanied by impeccable balance, providing optimal illumination in every scenario.

Driver Box: Compact Design and Reduced Visual Impact
The driver box has been positioned vertically, featuring a slightly rounded line and an inclined profile that harmonizes with the design of the arm and headlight. This attention to detail gives the projector a compact, lightweight, and elegant appearance, significantly reducing the overall visual impact. Even the cover cap has undergone a new design, maintaining aesthetic balance in line with the rest of the projector.

The inspiration drawn from the etymology of the product name aims to represent our commitment to creating products that connect emotions and experiences.

One of the main trends and changes characterizing the evolution of the retail sector is the need for flexibility, which is reflected in lighting by the demand for the ability to modify the layout without changing the lighting system. With this objective in mind, Imoon has developed the Ambient concept, allowing retailers to vary the display of areas within the store without additional installation work.

In the German market, several retailers have already chosen the Ambient system, including the Edeka group, supermarket chains Inkoop, Marktkauf, Rewe, and the bakery Nur Hier, all designed and implemented in collaboration with partner Schweitzer.

In our fourth edition, we took the podium by winning third prize in the XL category of the EuroShop Exhibitor-Magazine Award, which recognizes the best stands by evaluating aesthetics, functionality and innovation.

We are honored to have won this award, which represents the crowning achievement of our commitment to showcasing our reality, which has always had as its goal the desire to give emotions as well as respond to customer needs.

With this idea we created the Imoon Vision Village, an immersive experience inspired by the metaphysical art of De Chirico, a sensory journey that invited each visitor to imagine new opportunities and explore new scenarios through our solutions.

The Imoon Vision Village (Hall 9 / D24), one of the largest areas of the lighting hall, will consist in an experiential path where to experiment with different scenarios that integrate light and design in order to bring out the Retailers’ style and personality and meet their functional, aesthetic and energy efficiency needs.

The stand embodies this edition’s claim, “Turn on the light”, an invitation not just to turn on the light but also turn on one’s curiosity, imagination and creativity. From the outdoor spaces to the reception area, from the market aisle to the bar, walking through the lounge area, the dressing rooms and the areas dedicated to the sale of all types of food (butcher’s, fishmonger’s, wine shop, bakery, greengrocer’s), in every environment you will be able to experience different lighting scenarios
