The entire design of the hypermarket, a renovated space of 12.000 m2 inside the Carousel shopping center in Carugate, expresses the effort to offer an innovative shopping experience. Tradition and innovation coexist, thanks to the mix of traditional products offering and multimedia technologies that create a closer contact with the costumers. Every sense is stimulated: the eye is drawn by the different colors that alternate along the different food and no-food departments.
Light plays an essential role in setting up the atmosphere, creating different modulations that enhance each kind of display accordingly. The entire supermarket is illuminated only with led projectors (with a wide variety of beam angles suiting each application) that perfectly enhance the shelving in the main sales area and the fresh food displays, creating an attractive contrast with the passageways. In the sales area, the Venere Pro P with the Edge reflector was used, a reflector with a rectangular-shaped light distribution, to give a greater focus on the products. Each department is distinguished by its own colour temperature: 2700 K for fruit & vegetables and bakery, 4000 K for fish, MEAT for meat and 3000 K for the main sales area and the entrance; all with a colour rendering index of 90 to give emphasis to the first-quality merchandise.
